Timaru Community Menzshed will re-open under level 2 restrictions on Tuesday 2nd June at 09:00 hours. We have introduced procedures to enable us to stay safe and illness free while continuing to operate.  Should you wish to contact us please call or email the Secretary on the number / email address listed on our contact page. Take care.

We are now renewing membership for the year 2020/21, currently we have 59 members with membership open to men and women over the age of 16 years (but if you are 18 or younger you will need to be accompanied by a guardian at all times). Prospective members will be asked to fill in an application form. When accepted, the annual subscription is $50.

A typical workshop session would have some members working on their own projects, others making items for fund-raising or community projects and some working on shed improvements.

The fine Canterbury weather enables some activities to take place outside in the yard  but most work is carried out in one of several workshop areas.

We spend almost as much time socialising as we do working. Visitors are welcome to drop in and see us and join us for a cuppa and a chat when we stop for morning break at 10:00 am. We regularly arrange outings to visit other sheds and when the suns shines, barbeques for our members and guests.

The Timaru Community Menzshed is proudly supported by a number of local organisations.
